On August 12, Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher predicted that the Premier League title race will again be between Manchester City and Arsenal, but he also believes that the Gunners’ attack still has a gap to the Citizens, and they lack the firepower to challenge for the title.
Carragher said about the Premier League title race next season: “In the Premier League title race next season, I still think it will only be Manchester City and Arsenal who have a chance to win. I know people are talking about Arsenal because they were only one step away from the Premier League title for two consecutive seasons.”
But Carragher went on to say that Arsenal still has a gap to Manchester City: “Manchester City have a luxurious attacking line consisting of De Bruyne, Haaland, Foden and B Silva, compared to which Arsenal still has a gap. Arsenal’s three reliable attackers, the first two are Saka, Havertz, the third is Martinelli or Trossard, but compared to that, Arsenal still need to add another top-notch attacker, only then can they challenge the Citizens.”
