Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that 37-year-old Bosnian goalkeeper Asmir Begovic is set to return to Everton.
Begovic was a key player for Queens Park Rangers in the Championship last season, making 46 appearances and keeping 13 clean sheets. His contract with QPR expired at the end of June, making him a free agent. Romano states that Begovic has reached an agreement with Everton, and the two parties are set to sign a one-year deal. The transfer is expected to be announced soon. Begovic previously played for Everton between 2021 and 2023.
