Brentford have officially announced the signing of Liverpool defender Sepp van den Berg. The defender could potentially face his former club just two days later.
The Bees have signed van den Berg on a five-year deal. He only made four appearances for the Liverpool first team, spending recent seasons on loan at Preston, Schalke 04, and Mainz.
Brentford manager Thomas Frank said: “Sepp is already a high-level center-back, and he’s young and has potential to improve. This is a great signing.”
