The Guardian: Broja’s loan move to Ipswich could collapse due to paperwork issues

August 24 – According to The Guardian reporter Jacob Steinberg, Chelsea striker Armando Broja’s loan move to Ipswich Town could collapse, with the two clubs now exploring other solutions due to paperwork issues.

The 22-year-old Broja, who came through the Tottenham Hotspur youth ranks before joining Chelsea in 2009 on a free transfer, has previously been loaned out to Vitesse, Southampton and Fulham. Last season, he made eight appearances for Fulham, all as a substitute, and provided one assist. He represented Albania in this summer’s European Championship, where they finished bottom of their group. Currently, the player is valued at €22 million.
