On returning to Chelsea
After two loan spells, Chelsea and Barcelona, I wanted to settle in one place. For me, there is no better place than Chelsea. This is a fantastic place for me to shine. There were many reasons for me to return, the project at the club, the club itself, the Premier League, the fans and the time I spent here. That time made me feel comfortable. Despite the results not being the best, I was really eager to come back.
On growing
I’ve grown as a player in many ways. Understanding the game, where to receive the ball to help the team, I watch my own games to find solutions. I’m a different player compared to my last time here. I’m 24 now, I turn 25 in November. I feel like a proper player now, I’m much more prepared for the Premier League. I feel my best years are ahead of me, I don’t doubt that. My good days are yet to come. This year will be great. Because I’m home, I enjoy being home.

Maresca’s tactics fit me perfectly. I will help the team, help the club with goals, assists. This season, I want to play as much as possible, help the team become a top team in the world again. Chelsea deserves to be there, Chelsea will have a great season, I will give my all.
