Last month, Championship side Blackburn Rovers officially signed Japanese striker Yuki Ohashi from Sanfrecce Hiroshima. After joining the team, Ohashi quickly integrated, scoring in each of his first three games of the new season. This achievement also makes him the second ever new signing in Blackburn’s history to score in three consecutive games.
The last time a Blackburn player achieved this feat was 73 years ago, when legendary club striker Bill Holmes scored in his first five games for the club after joining in the 1951-52 season.
This weekend, Blackburn will be hosting Oxford United at home in the league. Blackburn officials have expressed their hope that Ohashi can continue his good form and score in a fourth consecutive game.
