On August 21, Manchester United legend Saha backed his former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo, believing that Ronaldo could become the club’s head coach in the future.
Saha said of Ronaldo: “Ronaldo has passion and great dedication, I believe he will one day return to Manchester United, and he may even become the manager of Manchester United.”
Saha said that Ronaldo’s second spell at Manchester United was not successful: “His second spell at Manchester United didn’t go as well as people hoped, and it frustrated him. He didn’t succeed as he did in his first spell at Manchester United, and he didn’t see the same passion in the team.”
Saha went on to say that if Ronaldo transitioned to coaching, he would need to improve his communication skills: “Now he knows that to be a good coach, you need to find a new way of communication, you can’t be as harsh or direct as you used to be. He’ll think about how to be successful and do everything he can to achieve it, Ronaldo will understand what it takes to be a good coach and he will definitely succeed.”
