Spanish local media outlet Vigo Newspaper has reported that Celta Vigo are considering a loan move for Liverpool midfielder, 19-year-old Stefan Bajcetic.
The report states that due to the intense competition in Liverpool’s midfield, manager Jurgen Klopp and the club have agreed to allow Bajcetic to gain experience elsewhere and are prepared to formally approve a loan move before the transfer window closes.
However, Celta’s acquisition of Bajcetic comes with a condition. They must agree to allow him to play in midfield and not as a centre-back. Bajcetic started his professional career in Celta’s youth academy, which is also his hometown. Liverpool signed him in 2020 for a low fee, but Bajcetic has been plagued by injuries and his progress hasn’t met initial expectations.
