According to renowned journalist Ben Jacobs, newly promoted Premier League side Ipswich have reached an agreement in principle with Manchester City to loan midfielder Kalvin Phillips for a season, but the deal does not include any purchase option.
Phillips joined Manchester City in the summer of 2022, but has failed to prove himself at the Etihad Stadium, making only 31 appearances for the club to date, for a total of 914 minutes.
In the second half of last season, Phillips was loaned out to West Ham by Manchester City, but he was unable to capitalize on the opportunity to re-ignite his form, making 10 appearances for the Hammers, with only 3 starts.
