Chelsea’s new Premier League season is about to begin, but Ben Chilwell’s future at Stamford Bridge has been declared over by manager Maurizio Maresca.
Asked about Chilwell’s situation, Maresca said clearly: “This morning we had 22 players in training, and if you ask them, they all want to play against Man City, but we all know that’s impossible.”
“If you train well every day and you don’t get game time, it’s not good for the player and it’s not good for me. But I have to make decisions.”
“Maybe for Chilwell, leaving is the best choice, he can find playing time elsewhere. The window is still open, let’s see what happens.”
