According to Romano, Charlotte FC has abandoned its pursuit of Miguel Almirón due to Newcastle’s high asking price.
Romano wrote on social media: “Exclusive: Charlotte FC have withdrawn from the Miguel Almirón negotiations, deal off.
“While Charlotte had an agreement in place with the player, the two clubs couldn’t reach an agreement – Newcastle’s asking price was simply too high for Charlotte.”
