August 12, according to British media outlet The Daily Mail, Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui have arrived at Munich Airport, ready to finalize their transfers to Manchester United.
De Ligt’s transfer fee is reportedly £43 million, with Manchester United paying an upfront £38 million and a further £5 million in add-ons. The Dutch international is Erik ten Hag’s top target this summer and is set to sign a five-year contract with the club, with an option to extend for another 12 months.
Bayern Munich have also accepted Manchester United’s £17 million offer for defender Mazraoui, which comprises an initial £13 million plus £4 million in bonuses.
Both players arrived at Munich Airport on Monday and are expected to complete their transfers to Manchester United shortly. De Ligt and Mazraoui are set to travel to Manchester later today. Both played under Erik ten Hag at Ajax and are keen to reunite with the Dutch manager.
