Fulham manager Marco Silva attended a press conference ahead of the Premier League’s opening round fixture between Manchester United and Fulham at 3:00 AM on August 17th.
Silva spoke about the upcoming match against Manchester United, saying, “Of course the players have been talking about it, because in the last two seasons, every time we’ve played against them, it’s been decided by small margins. We’ve been on the wrong end of a late goal two or three times. I am excited to go to Old Trafford, it’s always nice to start the season there.”
“The atmosphere will be fantastic. They will want to be on the front foot but they know we are able to counter. Every time we have faced them, I expect us to reproduce the good performances we had against them in the last two seasons.”
“We are probably the only team in the Premier League who lost three or four key players, but we have to rebuild. We are confident, we have a lot of work to do in the next two and a half weeks until the transfer window closes. We had a very good pre-season and the atmosphere in the squad is really good.”
