The PFA has officially announced the Premier League Team of the Year: Raya, Saliba, Van Dijk, Odegaard, Walker, Rodri, Gabriel Magalhães, Rice, Haaland, Foden, Watkins.
Erling Haaland, who scored a record-breaking 27 goals to lead his team to a fourth Premier League title, makes the players’ vote top 11.
Rodri, a midfield mainstay in Guardiola’s side, makes the Team of the Year for the second year in a row. This was his most prolific season to date, scoring eight league goals.
Phil Foden also earned recognition from his club for his stellar performance. He scored 19 league goals throughout the season, totaling 27, and was instrumental in crucial moments for City, including scoring a brace on the final day of the season to help City win the title.
Manchester City captain Kyle Walker was also crucial in City’s title win. The defender made 47 appearances across all competitions, making the PFA Team of the Year for the fourth time.
League runners-up Arsenal had 5 players named in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year. Goalkeeper David Raya conceded just 29 goals during the season and was awarded the Golden Glove award with 16 clean sheets in the league, making the top eleven.
William Saliba also makes the team, having played every minute for the Gunners – a feat no Arsenal player had managed in the Premier League’s modern era. Centre-back Gabriel Magalhães also makes the team, having been a defensive force throughout the 2023/24 season.
Gunners captain Martin Ødegaard makes the team for the second time in his career, showing his quality in midfield. The 25-year-old created the most chances in the league.
Declan Rice, in his debut season with Arsenal, impressed with his composed and consistent performances across 38 league games, securing his place in the PFA Team of the Year.
Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk was once again selected for the team by PFA members. The ever-reliable Dutchman makes the PFA Premier League Team of the Year for the fourth time, having played 48 times across all competitions.
Watkins had a stellar season at Aston Villa. The forward was involved in 38 goals across his fourth season at Villa Park.
