On August 16th, FC Porto announced that Evanilson has transferred to Bournemouth.
Porto’s statement said that the fixed transfer fee for the deal reached €37 million with an additional €10 million in add-ons.
The 24-year-old Evanilson is a striker who rose through the ranks of Fluminense’s youth academy. He left Brazilian football to join Porto in the summer of 2020. He has played 154 games for Porto, scoring 60 goals and providing 21 assists. He helped Porto win one Portuguese Primeira Liga title, three Taça de Portugal titles and one Taça da Liga title.
Bournemouth sold their star striker, Dominic Solanke, to Tottenham Hotspur for a large fee this month. It is expected that Evanilson will become the Cherries’ starting striker in the new season.
