Today, 34-year-old French midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin announced his retirement from professional football on his social media.
Schneiderlin played for Southampton, Manchester United, Everton, Western Sydney Wanderers, and other clubs throughout his career, making a total of 496 appearances, scoring 19 goals and providing 15 assists. He also won the FA Cup, Europa League, and Community Shield with Manchester United.
Last season, Schneiderlin played for Greek Super League club Kifisia. His contract expired at the end of the season and he became a free agent. Ultimately, he decided to officially end his 18-year career.
