The Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) has officially announced that Phil Foden has been named Player of the Year.
Foden beat out his own teammates Erling Haaland and Rodri to win the award, with other nominees being Palmer (Chelsea), Ødegaard (Arsenal), Watkins (Villa).
Foden was a key part of Manchester City’s title winning campaign, scoring a career-high 19 goals in the league last season along with 8 assists. The 24-year-old appeared in 8 Champions League matches for City, scoring 5 goals and adding 3 assists, including a sensational goal at the Bernabeu.
