Sky Sports chief reporter Kaveh Solhekol reports that Raheem Sterling wants to remain in the Premier League.
Chelsea have already excluded Sterling from their plans for the new season and have given the number 7 shirt, previously worn by Sterling, to new signing Nicolas Jackson. Saudi Arabian clubs are interested in signing Sterling, but because his family is settled in England and he wants to return to the England national team, Sterling is more inclined to stay in the Premier League.
On the other hand, Sterling is aware that he has no future at Chelsea, and the Blues will push for his departure. Sterling, who was Chelsea’s first major signing under Todd Boehly, does not have a clause in his contract that would see his wages reduced if they fail to qualify for the Champions League.
