Romano wrote on social media: “Mikel Merino to Arsenal, Here we go! Verbal agreement reached for the Spanish midfielder to join the Gunners. Fee will be €32 million plus €5 million in add-ons, contract until 2028. Arsenal have been wanting him since late July, and Merino only wanted Arsenal.”
