June 28 – Tottenham star Son Heung-min has been able to enjoy a relatively peaceful break recently due to the end of the European Championship, Copa América, and the Premier League season.
The 31-year-old South Korean striker returned to his hometown of South Korea during the off-season. According to Korean media, the South Korean captain didn’t completely relax during his holiday. He appeared at a local football field and played with young Korean players.
One fan who participated in the game recalled, “Son Heung-min joined us halfway through. He expressed his desire to play with us. I played with him for about 15 minutes, but it felt like only one minute.”
Pictures posted on social media show Son Heung-min wearing shorts with the number “7” printed on them. In the video, he broke through the defense with his superb footwork and passed the ball to his teammate. While shielding the ball, he slipped. He stepped on the ball, hit his butt, and rolled on the ground. People who were playing football around him gathered, worried about Son Heung-min’s injury. Thankfully, he got up quickly.
