July 3, according to Manchester United and Nottingham Forest clubs announced that former Manchester United and Nottingham Forest player Jeff Whitefoot died at the age of 90.
In April 1950, at the age of 16 years and 105 days, England U23 full-back Whitefoot became the youngest player to make his league debut for Manchester United. Whitefoot won the FA Cup with Nottingham Forest in 1959.
Manchester United said in a statement: “In the mid-1950s, few in England could pass the ball with more precision and accuracy than Jeff. May he rest in peace.”
In addition, Nottingham Forest also issued an announcement: Everyone at the club is deeply saddened by the passing of Jeff Whitefoot at the age of 90. Jeff spent nine years at the City Ground between 1958 and 1967 and was the last surviving member of the side that won the FA Cup for Forest in 1959.
