According to The Sun, Marcus Rashford initially planned to stay at Manchester United after Erik ten Hag’s departure, but now he faces a transfer.
On October 29th last year, after Manchester United’s heavy defeat to Manchester City away from home, Rashford was partying until late at night in a nightclub in Manchester city centre. Ten Hag immediately called this “unacceptable.” Later that day, Rashford missed training citing illness. Ten Hag learned the truth and promptly dropped Rashford from the squad. Their relationship became strained from then on.
Previously, Ten Hag’s position at Manchester United was shaky. Rashford’s plan was to stay at the club after Ten Hag’s departure. However, after Ten Hag led the team to an upset victory over Manchester City in the FA Cup final, club owner Joel Glazer changed his mind. This made Rashford’s future uncertain.
With Ten Hag likely to stay, Manchester United have started to consider selling Rashford. Previously, United hoped to sell him for £80 million. But due to his poor performance last season, the Red Devils may have to accept offers around £60 million from other clubs.
Last season, Rashford made 43 appearances for Manchester United in all competitions, starting 35 of them, scoring only eight goals and providing five assists. Currently, Paris Saint-Germain is the club most interested in Rashford.
