According to renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano, Manchester City are set to sign 18-year-old Chinese-American midfielder Han Willhoft-King, who will join the club’s U19 youth team.
Han Willhoft-King was born in London in January 2006 and grew up in Jakarta, Indonesia. According to records, his father is an Indian-British, his mother is a Chinese-American, and his maternal grandparents are from Liaoning and Taipei, respectively.
Willhoft-King joined the youth academy of English Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur at the age of six, where he gradually developed and was even named the best player in his age group by British media outlet The Guardian in 2022.
Romano reports that Willhoft-King has already left Tottenham Hotspur’s youth academy a few weeks ago and will sign a two-year contract with Manchester City.
