Man Evening News: United should avoid Lukaku return if they miss out on Zirkzee

It is understood that United are looking to add another striker to their ranks and have made Zirkzee, who scored 12 goals in 37 appearances for Bologna last season, a priority target. The 23-year-old has a £34m release clause in his contract.

Other potential suitors include Arsenal, AC Milan and Juventus. However, if United fail to sign Zirkzee, then Lukaku, who left the club five years ago, has been reported to be another potential striker target. The 31-year-old scored 42 goals in 96 appearances in two seasons at United.

The Manchester Evening News also states that Ten Hag should avoid signing Lukaku, who at 31 years old, may only have a few years left at the top level.
