Official: Liverpool goalkeeper Adrian leaves the club on a free transfer

Adrian joined Liverpool on a free transfer from West Ham United in the summer of 2019. Since then, he has served as the Reds’ backup or third-choice goalkeeper, making his contributions to the team whenever possible.

Upon joining, Adrian stepped up to represent Liverpool when first-choice goalkeeper Alisson was injured, ultimately helping Liverpool defeat Chelsea in a penalty shootout to win the 19/20 UEFA Super Cup. In subsequent years, he was an important part of the team behind the scenes, lifting multiple trophies with the team, including the Premier League title, Club World Cup, FA Cup, and League Cup.

Now, with his contract expiring, Adrian leaves Liverpool on a free transfer. According to previous reports, he will re-sign with his youth club Real Betis, returning to where his football journey began.
