Former Dutch star and Liverpool legend Dirk Kuyt recently gave an interview to Ladbrokes 1-2-Free, in which he discussed the new Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, and his recent connection with the club.
Kuyt is currently coaching Belgian team Beerschot, having led the team to promotion to the Belgian First Division A last season. Kuyt has a connection with new Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp. The last stop in Kuyt’s career was Feyenoord, which Klopp previously managed, and Kuyt’s son currently plays in Feyenoord’s youth academy, where he was coached by Klopp.
In the interview, Kuyt said: “Slot is a family man, but he is also obsessed with football – he spends 24 hours a day, seven days a week on football. If you watch his press conferences, you’ll find he’s eloquent and he makes his point clear.
“He’s very funny at times, but he’s also direct. He knows everything about football, not just Dutch football. Ask him anything about football and he’ll have an answer. Premier League fans will love him.”
“Of course, if I can help Liverpool in any way I will. I’m always in touch with the club. I did some work for the club’s foundation and also did some commercial work for them. I am very close to them. I’m always trying to help Liverpool, both on and off the pitch, because when you sign for Liverpool, you become part of this big family.”
