On July 24th, Napoli officially released a statement denying their interest in former Atletico Madrid defender Mario Hermoso.
Napoli’s Official Statement:
Recent reports in “Tuttosport” claimed that Napoli were set to sign Hermoso. However, with the arrivals of Marin and Buongiorno, the team’s defense is now complete. While Hermoso is a quality player, he is not a target for Napoli. (End)
Hermoso, 29, left Atlético Madrid this summer following the expiration of his contract. Last season, he played 45 games for the club, scoring two goals and providing two assists.
