According to Italian media outlet “Calciomercato”, Paris Saint-Germain has been chasing Napoli forward Victor Osimhen to replace Kylian Mbappé, but due to numerous issues in negotiations, the deal has now become almost impossible. This has rekindled hope for several Premier League clubs who were previously interested in the player.
It is understood that Napoli wanted to include Lee Kang-in in the deal, but PSG rejected the proposal. They also indicated that they would not match Osimhen’s €130 million release clause, which has effectively stalled the move. Both sides are currently at an impasse, with Fabrizio Romano even stating that the deal has broken down.
In light of this, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Manchester United have reignited their interest in signing Osimhen. They were previously chasing the Serie A striker, but were unable to compete with PSG’s offer. Osimhen scored 17 goals in 32 appearances last season, and since joining the club in 2020, he has scored 76 goals in 133 appearances, breaking a club record.
