The 20-year-old Jassim played for Iraqi team Baghdad Air Force last season, scoring 4 goals in 5 appearances. At the national team level, Jassim has played 13 times for the Iraqi national team, scoring 2 goals. In the first round of the men’s football group stage at the Paris Olympics, Jassim scored a goal to help Iraq beat Ukraine 2-1.
On Jassim’s arrival, coach Fabregas said: “We believe he will be a great player, he has potential, he has already shown his worth in the national team and the AFC Champions League, we hope he can grow in Serie A and help the team in the new season.”
