According to Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Luca Bianchin, Florenzi will undergo knee surgery tomorrow and is expected to return by the end of 2025.
Florenzi suffered a serious knee injury in Milan’s pre-season friendly against Manchester City. After the game, he was diagnosed with a torn cruciate ligament and meniscus. Back in the 21/22 season, Florenzi had already suffered two separate meniscus injuries.
Luca Bianchin wrote on social media: “Florenzi will undergo surgery on his right knee tomorrow for a torn cruciate ligament and meniscus. He is expected to return by the end of 2025. Florenzi has been examined by AC Milan doctors in the United States and has now returned to Rome.”
