AC Milan have officially announced that Alessandro Florenzi sustained a meniscus injury during the friendly match against Manchester City. He has undergone an MRI scan and will return to Italy for arthroscopic surgery.
In the previous friendly, Milan defeated Manchester City 3-2, but Florenzi was forced off in the 39th minute after suffering a painful injury. He was replaced by Pobega. This is unfortunately another injury for Florenzi who has previously suffered multiple anterior cruciate ligament injuries. This latest setback comes shortly after his return to action.
