Italian news agency ANSA reports that renowned Italian referee Daniele Orsato has officially submitted his resignation to the refereeing committee and will soon be retiring.
Orsato previously announced his retirement decision in an interview with Sky Italia. He had hoped to officiate the European Championship final, but UEFA did not assign him the match. His last game was the quarter-final between England and Switzerland. After retirement, Orsato said he will focus on his family.
