Juventus have officially announced the transfer of Dean Huijsen to Bournemouth.
The statement reads:
Juventus has reached an agreement with Bournemouth for the permanent transfer of Dutch defender Dean Huijsen. The transfer fee is €15.2 million, payable in 5 financial years. Furthermore, there are performance-related bonuses for up to a maximum of €3 million. After deducting ancillary costs (joint compensation mechanism and brokerage fees), the transfer generates an economic effect of €13.7 million for this financial year.
Huijsen’s journey with the Bianconeri began in the summer of 2021, when he arrived in Turin from Malaga. After a brief spell with the U17, he was called up to the U19. During the 2022/23 season, he made 40 appearances for the U19 and Next Gen, scoring 10 goals. His excellent performances in the youth team gave him the opportunity to participate in two friendly matches with the first team in December 2022.
These appearances opened the door to the first team, and he trained with the team almost throughout the first half of last season, making his debut against AC Milan. In January this year, Huijsen was loaned to Roma, where he made 14 appearances in Serie A and the Coppa Italia, scoring twice.
Thank you for everything, all the best, Huijsen!
