Italian newspaper Il Corriere del Mezzogiorno reported on its front page today that Napoli are interested in signing Juventus goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny.
The report states that Napoli’s first-choice goalkeeper Alex Meret has not convinced manager Luciano Spalletti, and the club have started looking for a new goalkeeper in the transfer market. Szczęsny is the leading candidate, with Juventus having excluded him from the first-team squad. Despite being a regular starter last season, he is not in manager Massimiliano Allegri’s plans, and his position has been taken by new signing Mattia Perin.
