Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport has reported that Inter Milan’s new signing, midfielder Zielinski, has sustained a muscle injury and will be sidelined for three weeks.
Inter Milan have been plagued by injuries during their pre-season preparations. In the past week alone, three players have sustained muscle injuries: Arnautovic, Taremi, and Zielinski. Zielinski has suffered a left thigh quadriceps injury and will be out for at least three weeks, ruling him out of the Serie A opener against Genoa.
Strikers Taremi and Arnautovic are expected to remain sidelined for another two weeks. With only Lautaro and Thuram available in attack, Inter manager Simone Inzaghi is considering deploying veteran midfielder Mkhitaryan in a more advanced role.
