According to Italian newspaper Roma Sport, former Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea is very close to signing for Serie A side Fiorentina.
De Gea left Manchester United on a free transfer last summer and has been without a club for the past season. He is currently in talks with Fiorentina and negotiations are going smoothly. De Gea is asking for a 1+1 contract with a salary of €2 million plus €1 million in bonuses for the first year, which translates to around £33,000 per week. In contrast, his weekly salary at Manchester United was £370,000.
