According to Italian outlet Milan Sports, Roma defender Chris Smalling has rejected an offer from Saudi Arabia.
Milan Sports reports that Smalling’s agent was present at Roma’s Trigoria training ground yesterday, where he held discussions with Roma management and intermediaries. Given Smalling’s age, physical condition, and high salary, Roma are looking to sell the player this summer.
Besides the offer from Saudi Arabia, Smalling has not received any other bids. However, Smalling himself has turned down the Saudi offer, as he still wants to continue playing in Europe. Last season, Smalling struggled with injuries, making only 12 appearances for Roma.
