Varane, who joined Serie A newcomers Como this summer, was substituted in the Coppa Italia match against Sampdoria last week with a left knee injury. Recently, head coach Fabregas also discussed his injury in an interview.
Fabregas said: “Varane has a problem with his knee, it could take two or three or one and a half months for him to fully recover. We don’t know how long he will be out now. While he didn’t disclose how long it would take for him to recover fully, he did say he is expected to be out for at least a month.”
According to the schedule, Como will face Bologna in the fourth round of the league after the international break, when Varane could make his Serie A debut.
