Journalist: Juventus target Sporting CP forward Edwards, facing competition from Crystal Palace and Al Nassr

August 15th, according to journalist Ekem KONUR, Serie A side Juventus are targeting Sporting CP forward Marcus Edwards. Following the failed signing of Karim Adeyemi, the Italian giants are willing to offer a €19-20 million bid for the 25-year-old English forward.

Of course, Juventus are currently facing competition from Crystal Palace and Al Nassr. Although Crystal Palace are only willing to pay €15 million in transfer fees, Edwards’ priority is to return to the Premier League.

25-year-old Marcus Edwards, a product of the Tottenham Hotspur youth academy, has moved between Norwich City, SBV Excelsior, Vitória Guimarães and Sporting CP. This young striker, who rose to prominence early in his career, helped Sporting CP win the Portuguese league title last season, starting 25 games and contributing 6 goals and 6 assists. His current market value is €20 million.
