According to AC Milan journalist Longo and other sources, 25-year-old Milan midfielder Pobega is set to join Serie A side Bologna.
Pobega came through the Milan youth ranks and had several loan spells before becoming a regular in the Milan first team in the 2022/23 season. However, he suffered a serious injury midway through last season and missed several months, leading to him losing his place in the team. He is no longer part of new Milan manager Fonseca’s plans.
The report says Pobega will join Bologna on an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy at the end of the season, at which point he will become a Bologna player permanently. The two clubs have agreed terms for the transfer and Pobega is expected to undergo a medical before being officially announced.
It is worth noting that Bologna manager Thiago Motta previously worked with Pobega at Spezia, so the two will be reunited.
