On August 14, according to an official announcement from Juventus, young player Nikola Sekulov has been loaned to Italian side Sampdoria.
The official Juventus statement reads: The forward born in 2002 will temporarily leave Juventus to join Sampdoria in Italy. The loan will last until June 30, 2025, with an obligation to buy the player.
Sekulov has been with Juventus since 2016, having grown up in the club’s youth system, and has achieved remarkable results among Juventus’ new generation: he is the club’s record holder for both appearances (103) and goals (19).
At the end of the 2023/24 season, Sekulov’s performance upon returning to Turin was crucial: he scored 9 goals and provided 2 assists in 9 appearances, helping Juventus’ new generation achieve excellent results.
On March 30, 2024, Sekulov made his first appearance for the first team in a match between Juventus and Lazio, just a year after he was first called up to the first team (March 2023). He then renewed his contract with Juventus until 2027.
Now, Sekulov is facing a new challenge in Serie B, joining Sampdoria.
Good luck, Nikola! 馃帀
