On August 19, Atalanta BC officially announced the signing of Udinese midfielder Lazar Samardžić on loan, with an option to buy under certain conditions.
According to Sky Sport Italia, the total cost of the loan plus option to buy could reach €25 million. If Atalanta decides to buy him, they will sign a five-year contract with Samardžić.
Samardžić is 22 years old and comes from Serbia. He plays as an attacking midfielder and central midfielder. Last season, he played 34 times for Udinese in Serie A, scoring six goals and providing two assists.
Samardžić has also become Atalanta’s sixth signing this summer. It is reported that he is coming to replace Dutch midfielder Koopmeiners, who is about to join Juventus.
