According to Sky Italia, Fiorentina’s Argentine forward Nico Gonzalez is determined to leave the club in search of a team competing in the Champions League.
Gonzalez has already requested a move and has reached agreements with both Juventus and Atalanta, but he has yet to find an agreement with Fiorentina, leading to a standstill in the transfer. Previously, Fiorentina had rejected offers from Leicester City and Brentford.
Fiorentina is hoping to find a replacement before letting Gonzalez go, however, their target Gudmundsson is also unable to join due to various reasons, leaving them in an awkward position.
Gonzalez joined from Stuttgart in 2021 and has made 125 appearances for Fiorentina, scoring 38 goals and providing 19 assists.
