According to Spanish journalist Matteo Moretto, Premier League side Newcastle United are keen to sign AC Milan centre-back Malick Thiaw, and they are considering a transfer fee plus player exchange deal to land the player.
It is understood that Newcastle United are discussing the inclusion of English full-back Kieran Trippier as a makeweight in the deal, with the club valuing him at around €6-8 million. This is a move designed to circumvent Financial Fair Play regulations, but as of yet, the idea has not been put into action.
However, Newcastle United are indeed interested in Milan centre-back Thiaw, and they could launch their official move from July 1st onwards.
