On June 26, Venezia, the newly promoted Serie A team, announced that Di Francesco has become the team’s new head coach, signing a two-year contract.
Di Francesco, 54, hung up his boots in 2005 and has coached teams such as Pescara, Lecce, Sassuolo, Roma, Sampdoria, Cagliari and Verona.
In the 23/24 season, Di Francesco was appointed as the head coach of Frosinone, and the team ultimately finished third from bottom of the table, unfortunately relegated.
