Italian Serie A club Atalanta officially announced that they have signed Italian international Nicolò Zaniolo on loan.
The 25-year-old Zaniolo was loaned to Aston Villa from Galatasaray last season, making 40 appearances for the team in all competitions, scoring three goals. Villa did not choose to buy him at the end of the season.
According to media reports, Atalanta will pay Galatasaray a loan fee of 6 million euros, with an option to buy for 15.5 million euros. Zaniolo will return to Serie A after a year and a half away.
