According to Il Romanista, Paris Saint-Germain has submitted a bid to Napoli for the transfer of two star attackers, Osimhen and Kvaratskhelia, for a total transfer fee of €200 million.
With Mbappé’s move to Real Madrid almost a certainty, PSG needs to make moves in the transfer market this summer, both in terms of market impact and sporting performance. Nasser Al-Khelaïfi has set his sights on Serie A, with Napoli’s former Serie A Golden Boot winner Osimhen already linked to several European giants, including the French champions. The key issue is that while De Laurentiis and Napoli’s new manager Conte have already anticipated Osimhen’s departure and are open to offers, they do not want to let Kvaratskhelia go this summer – even though the player and his team have publicly expressed their desire for a new challenge.
Negotiations between Paris and Naples have been ongoing since last year. PSG offered €150 million for Osimhen, but De Laurentiis insisted on €200 million. The whole world knows that PSG wants to strengthen their attack, having lost Mbappé and looking to sell Muani, who has become Atlético Madrid’s alternative option after Morata’s departure. Given this, PSG’s €200 million bid for Osimhen and Kvaratskhelia is a serious offer, especially considering that both players are looking for new challenges outside of Serie A. The offer from PSG is firm and the negotiations with Naples are expected to be tough.
Regardless, the transfer window has just opened and anything is possible. Napoli is also looking for a back-up plan. Il Romanista also reported that Napoli has begun exploring the possibility of signing Lukaku, as a response to the potential attack line revamp. Conte hopes to reunite with the Belgian striker in Naples, and Lukaku would have the opportunity to create a beautiful connection with Spinazzola again on the field.
