Real Madrid midfielder Valverde gave an interview to the La Liga broadcaster after his team defeated Borussia Dortmund 2-0 in the Champions League final on June 2nd.
Valverde said: “First of all, congratulations to Dortmund, they were a great opponent. Dortmund played very well in the first half, they were sharp on the counter-attack and had more chances to score, which made things difficult for us on the pitch. But in the end, we won, and I’m happy for the team.”
“Ancelotti’s tactical changes transformed the team’s performance. He was shouting from the sidelines, urging us to move around more, which even made me a little crazy. Later, we changed formation, and the situation on the pitch stabilized.”
“Like everyone else, I will miss Kroos very much. He has left his own legacy at Real Madrid. As a young player, Kroos has taught me a lot, and we have learned as much as possible from him and Modric. Thank him for everything he has done for us.”
