In the Champions League final, Bellingham assisted Vinicius Jr. in scoring the goal that sealed the victory, ultimately leading Real Madrid to a 2-0 win over his former club, Borussia Dortmund. After the game, he took out his phone to help his mother take a picture with her idol, Jose Mourinho.
As the former Real Madrid manager, Mourinho was present at Wembley Stadium as a TNT Sports commentator. Bellingham said with a smile, “I had to get Mourinho to take a picture with my mom, she’s been a fan of his for years.”
Bellingham also stated that his parents have sacrificed a lot for him. He said, “When you’re going through tough times, you start to question if it’s all worth it. Nights like tonight make it all worth it. I was fine until I saw my parents’ faces. They used to be home by seven in the evening, but they’d still be out at eleven or twelve taking me to play football. My little brother is there, too, and I try to be a good example for him.”
