Germany will face Denmark in the round of 16 of the European Championship on June 30th at 3:00 am in Dortmund. German head coach Julian Nagelsmann addressed the media in a pre-match press conference.
Nagelsmann said: “I’m not particularly nervous because we’ve done everything we could on all fronts. We’ve had several video conferences, on both individual and team tactics. We’re very well prepared. We’ve done everything we can, so we can sleep peacefully the night before the game. I have a lot of confidence in the team, I know what they’re capable of.”
“We don’t know if Eriksen will be able to play tomorrow, so it won’t change our preparations. I hope we get to see him on the field. He is a special player, very good at finding space.”
In the press conference, Nagelsmann was repeatedly asked by Danish reporters about the imbalance of fans in the stands. He responded: “I’m not the one who sets the rules. So far, all I know is that when I was a coach of the away team at this stadium, when you come out of the tunnel you feel the intensity of the fans, and you feel that Dortmund, the opponent, is already 1-0 up. I hope the atmosphere tomorrow will be similar.”
